Trustees

The Foundation was originally conceived in 2002 by a number of commissioners who served on the funding committee of the New Jersey Italian and Italian American Heritage Commission. A Board of Trustees was established with the creation of an independent Foundation, which was chartered to raise funds to supplement the activities of the Commission, which is a New Jersey State agency.

The Foundation Board currently consists of 20 members. The program activities are carried out by the Executive Committee and the program organizers of the Foundation. The Foundation is sponsored by members of the Founders Group who have pledged contributions over a five-year period, as well as contributors who have donated substantial funds at various levels.
